@VofS: Good point. I should have said, "He is suspected of killing his wife…". You're right, I can't say, and shouldn't have said, with 100% certainty that he killed Laci Peterson. My point in mentioning the case was to illustrate the fact that a convicted murderer in California still has the right to marry while that right is being denied men and women who have been found guilty of nothing. Whether or not Scott Peterson actually committed the crime is not relevant to my argument.

I listened to the tapes of Scott Peterson’s phone conversations with Amber Frey. They are chilling. He kills his wife and is happily courting this other woman while denying the reality of what’s going on.

He didn't kill his wife. Most who believe Scott is guilty don't know what the evidence actually is and so misstate it. To save arguing it here, go look at
Guilty?
to see what the prosecution had - which was nonsense.
Then look at
Innocent!
to see what the real circumstantial evidence in this case actually proved.
18 items of evidence for fetal abduction.
Zero for uxoricide.

Unless you listen to other people's intimate conversations day in and day out you are not in a position to evaluate them.

And I was hoping they'd be the HARELETS, and they'd have a ton of little bunnies running around in place of a mascot. (At least that's more team-symbol and mascot-friendly than, say, some random THREE ALS).

I'll stop now.

Cinco de Mayo is also 05/05 as Mayo (May) is the quinto mes (month). Corona anyone?

Had oxen and Hedonism too. We have had ONECAT twice in the past year in the NYT in some form, but my favorite batting game is FIVE MICE as played by Little Rabbit Frou Frou.
